Docs menuDo-not-contact list
Your do-not-contact list.
The companies Dylan must never contact for you. He never writes to them, and they are never billed.
What to put on it
The do-not-contact list protects relationships you already have. It is the most underrated part of any brief.
List by domain, not by name, since people change jobs. The brief asks for domains, one per line. Include:
- current customers;
- open opportunities;
- partners and investors;
- companies in a dispute with you;
- anyone a colleague is already talking to.
When Dylan checks it
Dylan checks the list when he builds the plan and again as each email is sent, so a company you add today is protected today. A company you add this morning will not receive an email scheduled last week.
Companies on your do-not-contact list are never billed.
Your list and opt-outs
Your list keeps Dylan away from those companies for you. An opt-out is different: when someone asks Dylan to stop, the request is honored for every client Dylan works for.
Opt-outs and rights explains how people stop Dylan, and what we keep to honor it.
