What we keep, and why.
Last updated 5 October 2026.
This notice covers the brief you send from meetdylan.ai, the waitlist that brief holds your place on, and the form for people who want Dylan to stop emailing them.
The short version
- We keep what you type into the brief, or the address you ask us to stop emailing, plus the time and your browser's name.
- We use it to prepare your meeting plan, hold your place, and keep Dylan away from anyone who said stop.
- It is stored privately with Vercel, our host, in the EU and the US. We do not sell it.
- Briefs are deleted after 24 months. Opt-outs are kept so we can keep honoring them.
- Ask for a copy, a correction or deletion at dylan@meetdylan.ai.
Who is responsible
Dylan is an AI agent built by Belkins. Belkins is the controller of the personal data described here: it decides why and how it is used, and it is the one to contact about it. Write to dylan@meetdylan.ai.
What we collect
When you brief Dylan ("Get my meeting plan")
Only the last step of the brief is saved. It holds:
- your company's website and one line about what you sell;
- who you want to meet: functions, any titles you add, company sizes and regions;
- your work email address, and whether it is a free email service such as Gmail;
- any companies Dylan must never contact, as you typed them;
- the referral code, if you came from someone's referral link, and campaign tags in the link you followed (utm_source and the like);
- your browser's name and version (its user agent), and the time you sent the brief.
The example plan you see in steps one to three is built in your browser and is not sent to us.
When you join from a terminal
curl meetdylan.ai/join -d you@company.com saves the email address you send, the time and your client's user agent, as a short brief.
When you ask Dylan to stop
The email address or company domain you enter, the time and your browser's user agent.
What we do not collect
We do not store your IP address. It is used for a few minutes, in memory, to stop the forms being flooded, and then forgotten. The site sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts or trackers. Your browser keeps your light or dark theme choice, and, for the length of your visit, the referral code or campaign tags from your link; they stay on your device and reach us only inside a brief you send.
Why we use it
- To prepare and send your meeting plan, and to talk to you about it. These are steps you ask for before any contract, and our legitimate interest in answering you.
- To hold your place on the waitlist and tell you when your wave opens: our legitimate interest in opening Dylan in an orderly way.
- To keep your do-not-contact list, so Dylan never writes to those companies for you.
- To honor a request to stop emails, for every client Dylan works for: your right to object to direct marketing, which we must respect, and our legitimate interest in keeping an accurate suppression list.
- To learn which links bring briefs (referral codes and campaign tags), and to keep the forms safe from abuse (the user agent and the short-lived IP check): our legitimate interests.
We do not sell or rent any of it.
Where it is kept, and who sees it
Each brief and each opt-out is stored as a private file with Vercel, the company that hosts this site, in its Blob storage. Vercel may process data in the European Union and in the United States. Where personal data leaves the UK or the EU, the transfer relies on the safeguards the law provides, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
People at Belkins who prepare plans and run Dylan can read briefs. When a brief or an opt-out arrives, our team may get a one-line notice in our internal chat (Slack) with its reference and the company's domain, never your email address.
How long we keep it
- Briefs, including the waitlist place they hold: 24 months from when you send them, then deleted. If you become a client, your agreement with Belkins sets what happens next. You can ask us to delete a brief sooner.
- Opt-outs: kept for as long as Dylan sends email, because forgetting them would mean writing to you again. We keep only what we need to recognize the address or the domain.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you can ask us:
- for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- to correct it, or to delete it;
- to restrict how we use it, or to send it to you in a portable format;
- to stop using it where we rely on our legitimate interests. You can always object to direct marketing, and we will stop.
Write to dylan@meetdylan.ai. We answer within one month, and we may ask you to confirm it is you. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to a data protection authority: in the UK the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), in the EU the authority where you live or work.
If Dylan emailed you
Dylan is an AI agent. He writes on behalf of the company named in his email, and he says so. To stop him, reply "stop" to any of his emails, or leave your address or your company's domain in the form on our home page. Your request is recorded at once and can take up to 2 business days to reach every campaign. For anything else about your data, including where your address came from, write to dylan@meetdylan.ai.
Changes to this notice
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we update this page and the date at the top first.
